40th ANNUAL FOOTBALL PREDICTION CONTEST!!

  The 2012 London Olympics was a nice warm-up act for the upcoming football season, don't you think?  But while I do so enjoy rhythmic gymnastics, synchronized swimming and diving, BMX bicycle racing, team handball and cheating at badminton, I am now looking forward to some college football and its little sidekick - the NFL.

  It has been a turbulent off season with teams jumping from conference to conference (to include numerous lawsuits), scandal at Penn State, top-notch players dismissed from teams (and trying to stay out of prison), NCAA probation handed out willy-nilly, coaches fired because of blatant, raging stupidity (i.e. Bobby Petrino) and the usual academic cheating incidents.  But hey that's why we love it (well, except for that Penn State stuff).  So I hope somebody kept track of who is in what conference now, because I certainly don't know.  I only know this for sure:

1. On 30 Aug teams will be lining up against each other and playing football

2. Half will win and half will lose

3. Some teams will win more games than other teams

4. A team from the SEC will win the BCS National Championship

5. Lord help me, I love it so
