A little history
This is the 42nd year for WEW's football contest!!
It all started with War Eagle Walt some 40+ YEARS ago!! He started this football pool by passing a yellow pad around for everyone to make their picks. Ahhh, how picksheets have changed. Later he introduced the MS Word picksheet (what a nightmare to manually score every week)! However, it has always been WEWs weekly color commentary that has made the pool the fun competition that it is.
In 2002 my wife (ANM) was introduced to the Football Pool via some co-workers (GMW). I joined one year later in 2003 and we were both hooked. I have since duplicated the pool with some of my family, friends and co-workers (started in 2004). In 2008 I offered to be the webmaster for WEW and run the pool online.
I also run a number of other pools: March Madness, Women's March Madness, NBA Playoffs, NIT pool, Frozen Four and my 1st ever World cup pool. I just love the competition of a sports pools cause sports are better with something riding on it!!!Days Past...

Word Picksheet
Well it was an upgrade from paper sheets. But it sure was a manual process to tally the results. Pickers did come up with imaginative names for picking their teams.
