Like Michigan he better not look ahead to that final game of the season vs. Ohio State (who's recent record against is not too good).  Of course, to set that up as a key game — like last season — they need to win the first 11.

Nancy Dunn

Texas A&M, North Texas

I'm sure the only thing she remembers from last season is A&M beating Texas (I sure won't remind her of those couple of A&M 1 point losses).  We'll see if she can return to her premier picking status she had a few short seasons ago.  Is TO really still plying in Dallas??

Perennial winner of the "most college/pro games attended in person during the season" award. I've really got to wonder if he is still a Longhorn wannabe.  After all, last year he did attend midnight yell practice and he slept outside to hold his place in line so that he could get into the ESPN game day broadcast crowd at A&M!!  Sounds like a dedicated Aggie to me!!

Is Brett Farve really still playing for your beloved Packers???  I think he is older than I am!  Traditions die hard up there in Green Bay.

Aaron VanBaalen

Texas A&M, University of Texas

El Lago, TX

Always a strong competitor in this pool.  Last year had one week where he picked the Pros with out a miss (a rare and surprisingly tough thing to do).  I usually get his picks about a microsecond before the kickoff of the 1st game of the week!!

Raul (RIMBO) Macias

Texas A&M

Houston, TX

Won the coveted award of "Best picking % in the Ivy league" last year.  I Haven't received his normal Aggie pre-season prediction yet (but I could almost bet it would be 7-5)

Rafael Munoz

Universidad de Puerto Rico

Houston, TX

Probably has the most varied results of any picker (has a 1st place week followed by a last place week).  He dropped out last year after a particularly bad week, but he's back this year

Ted Miller

Texas A&M

Sherman, Tx

Is he still miffed over losing the 2006 NBA pool in a tie breaker? I tell you if this were a golf pool he would probably be whipping all of us!

Mark Deans

Chico State

Sherman, Tx

After winning the college picking in his rookie year in the pool, he came back with a strong sophomore season (4th in NCAA, 4th in the Pros and 2nd overall).  Definitely a dangerous picker

Gary Kane

Georgia Tech

Houston, TX

This overall sports fan and knowledgeable picker returns for his 3rd season.  This Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets once again open up with Notre Dame. I for one hope they can pull off the upset this year

Bill Bond

Wisconsin Badgers

&

Dallas Cowboys

Hot Springs Village, AR

This rookie picker ran away with the pro picking title last season.  That fits as I seem to remember the pros being the "year of the upset" last year.  Beware that Sophomore season jinx!!

Ben Smith

Bucknell

Rookie

Chicago, Il

He finally decided to take the plunge and enter the football pool (after some pretty successful entries in March Madness).  I know I played in some pretty tough family football games with he and his dad.

Arnold Malanchak

Michigan

Sterling Heights, MI

He might not have had the best picking percentage, but most of the time he was the first one to get his picks in (hummm, maybe these two are related).

Dee Rome

Kansas

Sherman

A Kansas fan whose son used to play quarterback for Kansas and grandson who quarterbacks for Sherman high school!

Jack Dougherty

Penn State (and any team from Philly)

Rookie

Houston/Virginia

It's good to have another Big Ten picker and Philly fan in this pool (even if he is from the +1 portion of the Big 10 - Say Hi to Papa Joe when you see him).  He proved beyond a shadow of a doubt that he can pick in the NBA pool (he won that one in a landslide).  We'll see how he does in his first year in the REAL picking contest!

Ricky Jedrey

Ohio State

Rookie

0

Houston/Ohio

A current Ohio State student (who's still recovering from attending last years national championship game as a member of the band).  Claims the OSU band doesn't go to Penn State anymore because of "things" that were thrown at the band.  Jack you know anything about this????

Steve Poling

Texas

Rookie

Houston, Tx

He's a UT grad and if he knows as much about football as he does about Star Wars and "stack testing", we are all in trouble!!

Scott Jasper

Iowa

Rookie

Sherman, Tx

Another rookie (though he did enter the March Madness contest and did well.  We'll see how he does with football!

Kevin Dunn

New Mexico State University

Houston, Tx

My Aggies went from 0-12 in '05 to 4-8 in '06.  They play 2 Div I-AA teams which should help their confidence (and pad their win total).  Can you say break thru season and bowl bid this year???  By the way did I mention that I won the college and overall picking last season??  Well if nothing else NMSU will get $700K for getting destroyed by  Auburn in week 4.
