Here are the 2007 Football Pool Rules!

5th ANNUAL FOOTBALL PREDICTION CONTEST

OFFICIAL RULES

1. Winners will be the prognosticator with the least number of wrong picks in a college division and a pro division (2 chances to win). All you have to do is pick the winner – no point spreads involved. Each game you miss is a –1 and a perfect score is a zero. Oh so simple!

2. Games selected for the contest will consist of NFL weekly and playoff games and Division 1-A college weekly and bowl games of the following conferences: SEC, ACC, Big 10+1, Big 12, Big East, MAC, PAC-10, WAC, Mountain West, Conference USA, Sun Belt, the three remaining Div 1-A independents (Notre Dame, Navy, Temple) and the Ivy League (even though they are Div 1-AA, it's a tradition).

3. Weekly pick sheets will be posted on the web. Pick sheet submittal is due prior to the 1st games starting (if you get in a pinch, just email me who you want for the Thursday/Friday games and submit the pick sheet prior to Saturday). Weekly standings and all players’ predictions for the previous week will be sent out as soon as I can get to it.

4. If you are going to be out of town, let me know and I will make sure the pick sheets you need are posted ahead of time.

5.  If you do miss a week, you will be given the average score for the players that picked that week

6. Entry is open to any and all pickers with or without any knowledge of college and pro football – but it usually helps. There is no entry fee and consequently no prizes – except personal satisfaction, bragging rights for one year, and a nice little e-mail at the end of the season stating where you finished. Sometimes I have been known to give the winner a t-shirt, trophy or something.
