Quote of the Week

"Anyone else beginning to get annoyed by Urban Meyer? He brings some nice Xs and Os to game day telecasts, but please ESPN, don't ask Urb to be the moral compass and pontificate on programs dealing in controversy.  Dude had more than 30 players arrested in his six seasons at Florida. That's a three followed by a zero.  And he's concerned about Brian Kelly's foul language?"

Rules

39th ANNUAL FOOTBALL PREDICTION CONTEST

OFFICIAL RULES

1.  Winners will be the prognosticator with the least number of wrong picks in a college division and a pro division.  All you have to do is pick the winner – no point spreads involved.  Each game you miss is a –1 and a perfect score is a zero.  Oh so simple!

2.  Games selected for the contest will consist of NFL weekly and playoff games and FBS college weekly and bowl games of the following conferences:  SEC, ACC, Big 10+1, Big 12, Big East, MAC, PAC-10, WAC, Mountain West, Conference USA, Sun Belt, the remaining and obstinate FBS independents and the Ivy League (even though they are technically Div FCS).

3.  Weekly Pick Sheets will be posted on the web.  Pick sheet submittal is due prior to the week's 1st game kickoff.  I'll post all the picks to the Results page as soon as I receive everyone's picks.  Weekly standings and results will be posted as soon as I can get to it.

4.  If you fail to make your weekly picks (whatever the excuse) by the deadline, you will receive the score of the player who made the worst predictions for that week.  No exceptions, no sob stories, and especially no whining.  If you are TDY or on leave for a week, the  Pick Sheets are on the web so that you can submit them early or you can select someone else – who is not a regular contestant – to make your picks for you.

5.   Entry is open to any and all personnel with or without any knowledge of college and pro football – but it usually helps.  There is no entry fee and consequently no prizes – except personal satisfaction, bragging rights for one year, and a nice little e-mail at the end of the season stating where you finished.

6.  Once you submit your entry to me, no changes will be allowed – I don’t care who got injured or suspended.

7.  All game selections are made by me; all rules and interpretation of rules are made by me; all decisions made by me are final and no appeals are allowed on anything.  But then, all you have to do is make your picks and follow these few simple rules.
