Rules
The official guidelines for the Football Pool 2026 season.
Rule 1
The winners will be the prognosticators with the fewest misses in the College and NFL contests. You simply pick the winner of each game (no point spreads, etc.). Each missed game is a minus one, and a perfect week score is zero.
Rule 2
Games selected include NFL weekly and playoff games and FBS college weekly and bowl games from the SEC, ACC, Big Ten, Big 12, American, MAC, PAC-12, Mountain West, Conference USA, Sun Belt, remaining FBS independents, and the Ivy League from FCS.
Rule 3
Submitted picks are private and appear on Results once the week is underway. Pick sheet submissions are final, with corrections handled by the commissioner.
Rule 4
If you are leaving town, please submit your picks early. Check the Pick Sheets page to see if the week you need is available. If it is not, notify the commissioner and the sheet will be posted.
Rule 5
If you miss a week, you will receive the average score of pickers from that week (rounded to the nearest whole number). This is calculated separately for the NCAA and NFL contests.
Rule 6
Entry is open to any and all players regardless of football knowledge. There is no entry fee and no prizes, only personal satisfaction and bragging rights.
Rule 7
The NFL Survivor Pool is separate from the regular contests and is optional. You select one NFL team each week. If the team loses you receive a miss and you are only allowed two misses for the season. If you miss a week for the Survivor pick, that counts as a miss. You may not select the same team more than once during the season (the database will keep track of this for you, showing you who you have picked and greying that team out for future weeks). NFL ties, postponed, or cancelled games will be subject to commissioner review.
Rule 8
NFL Playoff picking shall consist of two pick sheets. A Wildcard Weekend pick sheet will be completed first. After that, the remaining games of the playoffs will be picked in a bracket format.
